SECURSAT AND PALAZZO MAZZETTI FOUNDATION – SECURITY TO PROTECT ASTI ARTISTIC HERITAGE
Palazzo Mazzetti is the most important 1700ts stately home in Asti. It is situated in the ancient center, in corso Alfieri, the main medieval street, and it is in the middle of a real interesting area, that tell the historical and artistic history of the city. The building was bought in 2000 by Cassa di Risparmio di Asti Foundation, with the aim to create an important cultural centre. Then the building was reopened in the 2011 December, totally restructured.
From archaeological area to the top in the building is possible to see important historical experience and across museum collections, it is possible to understand historical events from 1800s to today. Moreover In the adorned halls of first floor, called “piano nobile”, there are ancient and modern pieces, furniture and important 800-900th century collections. In the second floor instead there are Italian 1800s – 1900s collections (as the collections of Michelangelo Pittatore) and are organized important cultural events of Asti city.
Every year Palazzo Mazzetti is committed in the design and realization of national and international expositions dedicated to the Italian masters of 1800s and 1900s , to archaeology like Etruschi, to decorative art and more.
Within this framework Secursat realised a project to improve the existing security equipment, and, thanks the new technologies, have new tools to manage the building. This project is aimed to respect security and privacy certificated standards to manage and protect cultural heritage. This projection also means an improvement in the Foundation governance and in the cost savings because it brings to a lower chance of damages. This may remember the building “casaforte” on which was built Palazzo Mazzetti.
A new security approach requested from Cassa di Risparmio di Asti Foundation and Palazzo Mazzetti Foundation, made by Secursat following integrated security principles to protect the building, all halls and spaces, the heritage and people too. A minimally invasive security that shows how security, with increasing frequency, plays a really important role for industries and institutions to create a brand image, reputation and comfortable places.
This is for Secursat an effort to underline the presence in the territory and the commitment to the importance of cultural heritage protection. Finally this security project is a challenge, a challenge to demonstrate how Security needs to be designed, time to time, upon client needs and policy.
